David Laux – President/Chief Executive Officer

David is the owner and founder of Laux Construction LLC. He was born into the industry, as his father and uncle both worked in construction. As a teenager, he worked for K&D General Contractors in Williamston, MI, owned by his Uncle. In the late 1990s, David entered the Carpentry Apprenticeship, where he obtained his license in carpentry. David has well over 30 years in the Lansing Area Commercial Construction Industry. In 1996, he received his builders license.

David whole-heartedly believes in teamwork, being proactive, always having a positive attitude, having a sincere interest in developing lasting relationships and helping our clients achieve their objectives successfully. These traits, among others, have helped Laux a leading General Contractor in the Greater Mid-Michigan area.

In his free time, David likes to be with his family, including his wife and two daughters, and driving/working on his diverse collection of vintage vehicles.

Ronni Laux – Chief Financial Officer

Ronni has been a cornerstone of Laux Construction since its founding in 1996. As the company has grown over the years, she has taken on a variety of roles, developing a deep understanding of the business and the construction industry along the way. Today, Ronni serves as Chief Financial Officer and Office Manager, overseeing the company’s financial management, contract administration, and internal office operations.

In addition to managing the financial side of the business, Ronni plays a key role in supporting the company’s day-to-day operations by training new office staff, guiding pay application processes, and ensuring organizational systems run smoothly. Her decades of experience, dedication, and leadership have helped shape the strong operational foundation that supports Laux Construction’s continued growth and success.

Kori Crippen –Executive Assistant/Human Resources Director

Kori has been with Laux Construction since 2014. She’s originally from Dansville, but has lived in Onondaga for the past year. At Laux Construction, she’s in charge of human resource duties including payroll, new employee information, accounts receivable, and working with the President, David, on a daily basis.

Kori studied at Ferris State University and earned a degree in Criminal Justice.  In her free time, Kori enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two sons, concerts, and visiting new places!

Kitty Gailey – Office Manager/Project Management Controller

Kitty has been with Laux Construction since March of 2012. Some of her daily duties include making the office a happy place, answering questions regarding payment, and assisting project managers with projects, overseeing receptionist and accounts payable department.

Kitty was born, raised, and still resides in Stockbridge, Michigan. She obtained an Associates in Business degree from Jackson Business University. Kitty loves traveling, camping, and spending time with her friends and family.

Heather Kirchen – Senior Project Administrator

Heather joined our team in 2017. She’s in charge of assisting designated project managers with applications for payment, LIEN waivers, subcontractor communication regarding contract documents for projects, and the related documents needed for projects. She also assists in the accounts payable at Laux Construction.

She graduated from Charlotte High School and took administrative courses through LCC and Career Quest, which prepared her for her duties at Laux Construction.

Heather is from Charlotte, MI and has 3 children, twin girls and a boy.

David Perhne – Field Operations Manager

David is our Field Operations Manager and has been with Laux Construction since 2015. He oversees the field staff scheduling, hiring, quality control and safety implementation. David graduated from Everett High School and Hill Vocational School for Construction Trades.

David is from Lansing and currently lives in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. He has four daughters and one grandson. In his free time, David coaches a U14 soccer team for his daughter, and loves to hunt and fish.

Brandon Garred – Co-Director of Project Management & Estimating 

Brandon has been with Laux Construction since 2007. Brandon’s main responsibilities are managing the estimating team to ensure compliance and accuracy with cost estimates and bids, as well as managing his own projects.

Brandon is from Dansville, Michigan. He started to work toward a degree in Radiology Therapy, but half-way through his efforts, he developed a passion for the construction industry and struck a great opportunity with a great company… Laux!

In his free time, Brandon loves to bow hunt. He’s competitive and enjoys playing sports, especially soccer, basketball, and sand volleyball.

Brian Stiebe – Co-Director of Project Management & Estimating

Brian has been a part of the Laux Construction team since 2013. He manages design build projects in the private sector, as well as managing the Project Management Department. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan Technological University in Civil Engineering in 1994.

Brian is from L’Anse, Michigan and is a proud graduate of the Class of 1989 (“Damn fine! Purple Hornet for life!!”). Brian enjoys hunting, fishing, eating and relaxing in front of the TV.

Chais VanDeventer – Project Manager 

Chais joined our team in March of 2022! He graduated from Lansing Community College with an Associates in Construction Management and has been a great addition to our team!

Chais is originally from Holt but currently lives in Lake Odessa. When he’s not working, you can find him spending time with his girlfriend, watching football, or surfing!

Sean Cooney – Project Manager

Sean joined our team in November 2023, bringing over 20 years of diverse construction experience to Laux. After successfully running his own company in Wyoming and gaining extensive expertise in the residential construction industry, Sean returned to Michigan to be closer to family. His background in managing projects, overseeing operations, and delivering high-quality results makes him an invaluable addition to our team. We’re thrilled to have Sean’s leadership, knowledge, and passion for construction as part of our organization.

Max Griffith – Project Manager

Max joined our team in January 2025 as a Project Manager, bringing nearly a decade of experience in the construction industry. With a strong background in project coordination and jobsite management, Max is known for his attention to detail, clear communication, and commitment to delivering quality results. His industry knowledge and hands-on approach help ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet the high standards our clients expect.

Originally from Haslett, Max now lives in Williamston, Michigan with his wife and three kids. When Max isn’t working, you can find him and his family out boating on the water.

Mason Knippen – Assistant Project Manager

After working in the ballistic systems field, and traveling the country, Mason found his home at Laux Construction in February of 2024 as an Assistant Project Manager. He quickly demonstrated exceptional leadership, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to project success. In recognition of his contributions, he was promoted to Project Manager in June 2025. Mason excels at coordinating teams, managing complex timelines, and driving projects forward, making a meaningful impact on our operations.

Carter Vandlen – Estimator

In 2019, we added Carter to our team!  He attended Holt High School and signed as our newest Project Engineer Apprentice upon graduation from Holt High School. He’s currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management from Lansing Community College. In early 2023, Carter was promoted to Estimator due to his ability to win several projects for Laux Construction. In his free time, Carter loves to swim, play basketball, and spend time with his family.

Tiffany Bell – Social Media & Marketing Specialist 

Tiffany joined our company in June 2023, as our Social Media & Marketing Specialist. She comes to us with nearly 15 years of experience in  marketing, social media, and graphic design. Her graphic design skills are like none other, and she continues to change Laux Construction’s graphics to reflect our company in the best ways possible.

When she is not working, Tiffany enjoys camping, making memories with her 2 boys, spoiling her Husky, Aspen, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She also enjoys creating logos and branding materials for her freelance customers!

Jack Trachet – Account Specialist

Jack joined Laux Construction in January 2026 as an Account Specialist. Originally from Pinckney, Michigan, he is a graduate of Hillsdale College, where he earned a degree in Financial Management. In his role, Jack supports the company’s financial operations by assisting with account management and collaborating with team members to ensure processes run smoothly. He is eager to continue expanding his knowledge through hands-on experience while building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

Outside of work, Jack has a passion for football, hunting, and fishing.

Rett Franklin – Project Management Intern

Rett joined Laux Construction in September 2025 as an Intern on the Project Management team. Originally from Austin, Texas, he moved to Michigan to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University. While new to the construction industry, Rett brings a strong eagerness to learn and gain hands-on experience while supporting the team and contributing to project success.

Outside of work, Rett is an active member of the MSU Water Skiing Team and enjoys spending his free time on the water.

Greg Post – Site Superintendent

Greg is one of our most loyal employees. Joining us in September of 2001 as a Carpenter/Laborer, Greg has shown his deep passion for construction in every task he completes. He has managed many projects in all markets of construction such as governmental, private, industrial, and education.

Mick Sowle – Site Superintendent

Mick joined our team in August of 2003. He has extensive experience managing projects in the commercial, industrial and retail construction areas. Many of his projects involve working with the State of Michigan, Michigan State University, county parks and private sectors.

Scott Brown – Site Superintendent

Scott joined our team in July of 2008. With an extensive background in Carpentry, Scott is experienced in building commercial, industrial and retail construction projects.

Patrick Groom – Site Superintendent

Pat joined our team in April of 2012. He has over 25 years of experience in governmental, commercial and private sector construction. He also has several years of experience inn Design/Build services, carpentry, demolition and environmental remediation.

Joe Eifert – Site Superintendent

Joe joined our team in June of 2012. He manages and supervises projects in all aspects of construction, including new buildings, historical churches, remodels and parks.

Tim Warfle – Site Superintendent

Tim joined our team in January of 2013. He leads and manages vendors, implements safety precautions, coordinates with owners and Project Managers, and organizes on-site scheduling.

Corey Stults – Site Superintendent

Corey joined our team in April of 2013 as a Carpenter/Laborer, he showed promising leadership skills and was promoted to a Site Superintendent in 2019.

Arthur Jones – Site Superintendent

Art originally joined our team in 2017, after a small leave of absence he returned in December of 2022. With many years of experience in the industry, his job sites reflect his passion and pride for the work he does.

Chad Evans – Site Superintendent

Chad joined our team in April of 2017 as a Laborer, he was promoted to Site Superintendent in 2024.

Darrell Scholten – Site Superintendent

Darrell joined our team in July of 2020 as a Carpenter. With over a decade of industry experience he was quickly promoted to Site Superintendent due to his attention to detail and valuable knowledge.

Mark Taylor – Site Superintendent

Mark joined our team in April of 2021, with 20 years of industry experience. He has an outstanding safety record due to him continuous implementation of of safety and quality control.

Rick Hoeskstra – Site Superintendent

Rick has been working in the construction industry for over 40 years. He has extensive experience in land acquisitions, commercial construction including manufacturing facilities, office buildings, public schools, and warehouses and medical facilities.

Jesse Tompkins – Site Superintendent

Jesse joined our team in November of 2023. With an impressive 20 years of experience in Construction Management, building and renovating commercial and residential infrastructure, specializing in trim carpentry.

Growing up in the Grand Rapids area, he and his wife and their two children now call East Lansing, Michigan home.

Eddie Nuno – Site Superintendent

Eddie joined Laux Construction in April 2025 as a Site Superintendent, bringing four years of industry experience as both a Project Manager and Superintendent. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, he relocated to the Lansing area in 2023. Eddie brings a strong skill set in jobsite coordination, team collaboration, and maintaining project schedules, helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards our clients expect.

When Eddie isn’t working, he enjoys weightlifting and spending time outdoors with his family.
